Last updated 11 June 2026

This Privacy Policy explains what personal information Ladill collects when you use Ladill, why we collect it, how we use and share it, and the rights and choices you have.

1. Who we are

Ladill is operated by Ladill (“Ladill”, “we”, “us”, “our”), based in Accra, Ghana. We are the controller of the personal information described in this policy. This policy applies to our websites (including ladill.com and our product subdomains), our mobile applications, and the services we provide (together, the “Services”).

If you have any questions about this policy or how we handle your data, contact us at hello@ladill.com.

2. Information we collect

Information you provide

  • Account details: your name, email address, phone number, password, and business or organisation details.
  • Profile and billing details: business name, address, and country used for invoices, payouts, and tax.
  • Content you create: storefronts, products, QR codes, events and tickets, giving/donation pages, mailboxes, domains, and other content you add through our apps.
  • Payment information: when you pay or get paid, payments are processed by our payment partners. We receive transaction details (amount, status, reference, masked card or mobile-money identifiers) but we do not store full card numbers.
  • Support and communications: messages you send us, including via our Afia assistant, email, or support tickets.

Information we collect automatically

  • Device and usage data: IP address, device type and identifiers, operating system, app version, browser type, pages or screens viewed, and actions taken.
  • Diagnostics: crash logs and performance data to keep the Services reliable.
  • Cookies and similar technologies: see our Cookie Policy.

Information from third parties

  • Sign-in: if you sign in through Ladill SSO or a connected service, we receive basic profile information needed to create or link your account.
  • Payment partners: confirmation that a payment succeeded or failed, and limited fraud-prevention signals.

3. How we use your information

  • Provide, operate, and maintain the Services and your account.
  • Process payments, payouts, top-ups, and platform fees.
  • Authenticate you and keep your account and our platform secure.
  • Provide customer support and respond to your requests.
  • Send service messages (receipts, security alerts, and important changes).
  • Detect, prevent, and investigate fraud, abuse, and violations of our terms.
  • Improve and develop the Services, including reliability and new features.
  • Send marketing or product updates where you have consented; you can opt out at any time.
  • Comply with legal, tax, accounting, and regulatory obligations.

4. Legal bases for processing

Where applicable data-protection law requires a legal basis, we rely on: performance of a contract (to provide the Services you request), your consent (e.g. for optional marketing), our legitimate interests (e.g. securing and improving the Services), and compliance with a legal obligation (e.g. financial record-keeping). You can withdraw consent at any time without affecting processing already carried out.

5. How we share your information

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only as described below:

  • Service providers (processors) who help us run the Services under contract, including:
    • Paystack (card and mobile money payment processing)
    • Mobile money providers (MTN, Telecel, AirtelTigo)
    • Domain registrars and hosting partners (e.g. Dynadot, ResellerClub)
    • Email and SMS delivery providers
    • Cloud hosting and infrastructure providers
    • Product analytics and error-monitoring providers
  • Other parties to your transactions: for example, a merchant you pay or a customer who pays you receives the information needed to complete and record that transaction.
  • Legal and safety: when required by law, regulation, legal process, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of Ladill, our users, or the public.
  • Business transfers: in connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets, subject to this policy.
  • With your consent: for any other purpose disclosed to you at the time.

6. Mobile app permissions and data safety

Our mobile apps may request the following device permissions. Each is optional where possible and used only for the stated purpose:

  • Camera: to scan and read QR codes, and to capture photos you choose to upload (e.g. product or profile images).
  • Photos / storage: to upload images and download QR codes, tickets, or receipts.
  • Notifications: to send you order, payment, and security alerts.

We do not use your data for tracking across other companies’ apps or websites, and we do not collect precise location. The data types we collect and how they are handled are reflected in our App Store and Google Play data-disclosure listings.

7. Data retention

We keep personal information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Services. We retain transaction and financial records for up to 6 years to meet legal, tax, and accounting obligations. When data is no longer needed, we delete or anonymise it. See Account & Data Deletion for how to request deletion.

8. Security

We use technical and organisational measures to protect your information, including encryption in transit, access controls, and secure handling of credentials. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to protect your data and to notify you and the relevant authorities of incidents where required by law.

9. International transfers

We are based in Ghana, and some of our service providers process data in other countries. Where we transfer personal information across borders, we take steps to ensure it remains protected in line with this policy and applicable law.

10. Your rights and choices

Depending on your location, you may have the right to:

  • Access the personal information we hold about you.
  • Correct inaccurate or incomplete information.
  • Delete your information (see Account & Data Deletion).
  • Receive a copy of your information in a portable format.

To exercise any of these rights, email hello@ladill.com. We will respond within the time required by law. You also have the right to complain to your local data-protection authority.

11. Children’s privacy

The Services are intended for businesses and adults. They are not directed to children, and you must be at least 18 years old to hold an account. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.

12. Third-party links and services

The Services may link to or integrate with third-party websites and services (for example payment providers, domain registrars, and hosting partners). Their privacy practices are governed by their own policies, and we encourage you to review them.

13. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the “Last updated” date and, where appropriate, notify you through the Services or by email. Your continued use of the Services after an update means you accept the revised policy.
