Account & Data Deletion

You can delete your Ladill account and associated personal data at any time. This page explains how to request deletion, what is removed, and what we must keep.

How to delete your account

You can request deletion of your Ladill account and personal data in either of these ways:

  1. From your account: sign in, go to Account → Settings, and choose Delete account. Follow the prompts to confirm.
  2. By email: send a request from your account email address to hello@ladill.com with the subject “Account deletion request”. We may ask you to verify your identity before we proceed.

You do not need to install or open the app to request deletion — an email request is sufficient.

What gets deleted

When your deletion request is completed, we delete or irreversibly anonymise the personal data associated with your account, including:

  • Your profile details (name, email, phone, password, and business profile).
  • Content you created that contains personal data, such as storefronts, QR codes, events, giving pages, and contacts.
  • Support messages and conversations tied to your account.
  • Marketing preferences and device identifiers.

What we keep, and why

Some information cannot be deleted immediately because we are legally required to keep it or need it for legitimate purposes:

  • Transaction and financial records are retained for up to 6 years to meet tax, accounting, and anti-fraud obligations.
  • Records needed to resolve disputes, enforce our agreements, or comply with the law.
  • Anonymised or aggregated data that can no longer identify you.

Retained records are minimised, access-restricted, and deleted once the applicable retention period ends.

Before you delete

  • Settle or withdraw any remaining wallet balance and complete pending payouts — balances may be forfeited after deletion where permitted by law.
  • Cancel active subscriptions and renewals; deletion does not automatically refund prior charges (see Refunds & Cancellations).
  • Domains, hosting, and mailboxes tied to your account may stop working and may be released.
  • Account deletion is permanent and cannot be undone.

Timeline

We process verified deletion requests within 30 days. We will confirm by email once your account and eligible data have been deleted. If a request is delayed for a legal reason, we will tell you why.
