Yes, Everything Ends

There are moments in life when pain feels endless. When prayers seem unanswered, when the weight of waiting presses hard on the soul, and when every step forward feels like walking through fog. In those seasons, our hearts whisper, “Will this ever end?”

But God gently reminds us through His Word and through time itself: Yes, everything ends.

1. The Night Always Yields to Morning

No night, however dark, has ever stopped the morning from coming. Even in our longest valleys, God is working—quietly, faithfully, tenderly. The tears that fall in secret are never wasted; they water the ground for new joy.

If your heart is heavy, remember: dawn is not delayed—it’s being prepared. God has already appointed your sunrise.

“The Lord will fight for you; you need only to be still.”Exodus 14:14

2. Endings Are Gateways, Not Graves

When something ends—a job, a friendship, a dream—it’s easy to feel that part of us dies with it. But in God’s hands, endings are not deaths; they are doorways.

Abraham left his home and found a nation. Ruth lost her husband and found redemption. The cross looked like the end of hope—but three days later, the tomb was empty.

So yes, everything ends—but only so that something new can begin.

“Behold, I am making all things new.”Revelation 21:5

3. God Redeems What Time Cannot

Even when the pain of yesterday still echoes in today, God is the Healer who restores what the world cannot replace. Time may dull the ache, but only God can turn the broken pieces into beauty.

You may not see it yet, but He is shaping your tears into testimony, your scars into strength, and your waiting into worship.

“He has made everything beautiful in its time.”Ecclesiastes 3:11

4. The Eternal Perspective

In Christ, even death—the final end—is not final. For the believer, everything ends only to make way for something eternal. There is no ending that God cannot rewrite in resurrection light.

Your suffering, no matter how deep, has an expiry date. Your joy, in Jesus, does not.

“For our light and momentary troubles are achieving for us an eternal glory that far outweighs them all.”2 Corinthians 4:17

Final Reflection

If you are weary today, let this be your quiet reminder:
The pain will pass. The waiting will end. The tears will stop.

Yes, everything ends—but God’s love never does.

And when your morning finally breaks, you will understand that every ending was really His way of leading you into something new, something brighter, something eternal.

“I am with you always, even to the end of the age.”Matthew 28:20

Prayer
Heavenly Father,

Thank You for being the God who never leaves us in the dark. Even when our nights feel long and our hearts ache with waiting, You are near, quietly working, tenderly shaping, and lovingly holding us together.

Lord, when our tears fall and our strength fades, remind us that You have appointed our sunrise. Help us to trust that every ending we face is not a loss, but a doorway to something new that You are preparing.

In Jesus’ mighty name,
Amen.
